Been walking this path for 20 years. Walkers, runners, bicycling and cycling, a growing number of electric bikes and only the occasional want-a-be Lance Armstrong jerk wizzing by your elbow. Walk on the opposite side so you can see them coming. Lots of other hidden trails nearby if you look at Google Maps.

This is a review for rollerskating. My friends and I skated this path on Saturday morning. It was fairly busy but fine, and it’s a true luxury to skate so far without stoplights and intersections! For a skater, there are a few hills steep enough to go down backwards, and some of the underpasses are pretty steep, too. The long stretches are great, although my friends found the pavement a tad rough (I didn’t mind). We started at the east end to tackle any headwinds first and had lunch in Oceanside before heading back. 20 miles all told. Recommended for endurance skaters who can manage hills.

Wonderful trail! Went for a bike ride on a road bike from Mance Buchanon Park to Oceanside and it was perfect. The trail wasn’t too busy and everyone was considerate of one another. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a nice, uninterrupted, flat bike path. We will definitely be back!

Didn't have a bike, so just ran a portion of the trail. It's a nice paved trail, just goes through neighborhoods at points, but the trail is marked by signs, so it's easy to find. Would love to bike it at some point.

We walked this path from College to the Oceanside Harbor this weekend (7.2 miles one way) and it is really a bike path despite the description that calls out walking. There is very little shoulder most of the way really putting you in the way of cyclists. It wasn't crowded and the cyclists were friendly and tended more towards beach cruisers than racers so that helped keep the walk pleasant. It's very nice to be away from traffic and the views are a mix of green space, residential and commercial. We did get a great view of skydivers drifting down to land at the little airport as well as a flying crane and a circling hawk before arriving at the harbor. Ample parking at the park at College and at the harbor. No restrooms along the way, shade only really at the underpasses, great ocean breeze the last couple miles. Will try the trail on my bike next.

My neck is numb. I’m pooped. Went farther than just the trail. Happy we went. Only water and macadamia nuts.

Such a great ride! Perfect for beginners, two or three rather steep hills but they’re short and not too difficult. Lots of traffic on weekday but I can see why, gorgeous route and who can complain about a beach trip. 10/10 will do again

Great short bike ride to the beach. No shade. Rode in the morning the marine layer was thick. Very pretty, not a whole lot of views of the river but as you get in close to downtown you can see some. Paved the whole way. Very busy trail. There’s a few “up or down” areas that you can choose a path - if you go the up way you will cross a street with cars and if you choose down it’s just an underpass. We parked at Mance Buchanan Park so our ride was about 7.9 to the pier.

Great Trail - Parking was difficult though. I had to park at: Guajome Regional Park 3000 Guajome Lake Rd Oceanside, CA 92056 Nearby and bike in about a mile. The regional park had plenty of parking for $3.00. Lots of blooms of all kinds of flowers along the bike path down to the beach.
