Enjoy the beauty of the San Francisco Bay Trail. This section in Foster City can be completed in a loop and offers scenic views. This paved path offers chances for kite-flying and watching the kite-boarders in the bay. Kids (and some adults too) will enjoy watching the airplanes landing nearby.

This is a fantastic bike trail. There were some rough roads before the airport hotel area but other than that it was perfect. I started at around 3 pm and it was a little too windy then, but on the way down south it became much better.
Watching airplanes ascending/descending is a bonus. Definitely will do it again.

Only hiked around the Coyote Point Recreation Center. $6 per day per car. Fun beach with warm water. Kids could do swimming in the shallows. Near SFO. Could also do fun airplanes watching. Lots of picnic area. Also a nice marina could do sailing. A very scenic family friendly spot! Worth 2nd visit. Love it!

Great stretch of the bay trail for biking/walking/running. There are always lots of people out. Great views of the bay.

This section of the bay trail extends as far north as SFO airport and as far south as San Bruno Airport. I biked this trail then headed south and did Redwood Shores Loop all in one bike ride for 23 miles total.

The start/end point is in the parking lot of an apartment complex - I suggested an edit.

Nice bike trail. Great breeze. Have to be careful, lots of joggers and walkers... and walkers that do not watch where they are going.

I bike this trail just about everyday. Great scenic views of the bay on all sports played on it such as sail boarding and kite boarding which are awesome to watch. Only bad thing is that there really no areas for off roading. Overall great for a relaxing walk/run/bike ride.

This is a good beginner course or if you just want to get a quick sprint on your lunch break.

Bringing a mountain bike on this ride is like taking a Range Rover to the grocery store. It's all flat, paved, marked, etc. There is this one area south of the San Mateo Bridge and north of Oracle that is off the path. It's basically a little mountain bike trick course and it's pretty fun. Other than that, it's a road bike along the bay which means its flat and mostly windy.
