Only did 12 miles of this one because it was too hot to finish. Not a lot of shade, but very challenging trail. Bring LOTS of water!

Didn’t quite make it to the end. Took a side trail to the river about 7 miles in and decided to turn back after resting next to the river. The hike back was definitely the hardest part; I was completely drained the last mile. I would definitely recommend this trail to experienced hikers only. Very beautiful scenery though. Oh and also the parking lot is closed probably due to Covid-19. You can park on the side of the road either just before or just after the parking lot.

Lovely during late afternoon this time of year ~ light traffic and pretty sunset views. Wear good shoes as areas can be ‘slippy’ coming down.

This is a cool trail, I didn’t do the exact route but instead went up West Ridge trail and looped back on the Ravine trail before heading back, overall I clocked a little over 16 miles and slightly less elevation. Very nice, it’s long but the terrain isn’t to bad so it never feels like there’s a big climb or anything. It’s great right now as the weather is perfect and the trail is green. I wouldn’t attempt this in the summer though, there’s a lot of exposed areas and the heat would be pretty rough. Definitely recommend checking this out on a nice day when there’s still snow in the mountains if you wanna rack up some miles

The trail starts out very technical with rocks and a tough but runable climb. Good mix of rolling terrain from there w/ 30/70 covered vs exposed. Likely a GREAT winter trail but only runable at dawn during summer.

This is a great hike with lots of beautiful scenery! This trail is rated as 'hard'. It's hilly and rocky in parts but if you pace yourself, it'll be worth the effort.

Keep left at the fork to go up West Ridge to West Ravine, or stay on the SFT to hit the cabin and loop back around to West Ravine. Parking lot was busy but didn’t run into too much traffic on trail.
