This is a pretty steady uphill hike for close to the first mile of the hike so be preapred to breathe a little bit harder to reach the views. Once you finally reach the top it's a pretty easy walk along the trail to the other lakes in the area. The trail was fairly wet and I suspect it may always be wet since the trail runs along a drainage stream between the lakes. Even this time of year there was a wonderful display of wildflowers in the area. The day I was there was cool and windy but the views were great. A bit warmer and I'm sure I would have found lot's of places to stop to enjoy the area.
