Open during COVID if you enter from the Crocker Gate. A little crowded in some parts but mostly okay

Nice trail, various terrain. During covid you need to drive to the Crocker entrance. You cannot enter the park off of Guadalupe.

This is a pretty easy trail. There are a few small hills, but I can run up them and I am not a fan of running up hills. Reading other reviews, I agree you should wear close toe shoes, but it's more gravel than rocky. A good portion of Saddle Loop Trail is paved. Looking at the pictures people posted, the bridges and spots where it's single track is when you go off onto the Bog Trail (there's a marked sign) near the parking lot. I was confused and had to look at the actual alltrails as to what was considered the actual trail. I also come in from a more residential entrance on the backside of the trail. There are only a few spots you have to dodge after it rains. It can get windy in the exposed areas. On calm days when the sun is out, you can get wonderful views of the city, the east bay, and even a spot where you can see the ocean.

Nice hike to do with kids. The views are great and the terrain is easy for less skilled walkers.

Easy loop for a casual walk or jog. Mostly a wide gravel trail with some portions near the start being paved. There’s a brief single track trail just west of the staging area that was the highlight of the loop. Also some nice views of the city.

The paved part is pretty uneventful - nice views though. The Bog Trail is awesome, but short with dirt road and lovely trees and foliage. The noise from the highway and airplane traffic is omnipresent. It’s a fee parking.

Great views to the city, nice and wide road, good for family with kids too. Finished this trail about 40 minutes. Only complain is the park fee which I paid $6.25.

Excellent trail to view the San Francisco skyline and Bay. Beautiful views of the ocean too. Not too difficult of a trail either! We got lucky and had a cloudless/fogless day; it truly made the hike worthwhile. The wind can get a bit ridiculous though. Tie a hat to your head!

This was a nice easy walking trail. Pretty windy on the way up but a very nice view of San Francisco. I particularly liked the decent on the Big Trail near the end. Beautiful canopied trail with fern undergrowth.

Really nice trail. It's quite a climb, but the path is very well kept and easy to follow. Quite rocky so wear hiking shoes if you have them.

Awesome views of the city! It does get pretty windy so I would recommend a light jacket.. we were there early so parking wasn’t bad and it wasn’t too crowded.. I would totally come back to this park ...

Best close-to-downtown 1hr powerwalk. Sweeping views of Alameda, East Bay, City, Tam, and Pacifica. Often windy and exposed.

My staple trail while living in Oceanview. This is a great place for a morning run or walk. The trail is steep at some times but moderate and the views of SF are awesome!

Great hike for beginners. You get some awesome views of South San Francisco and San Francisco itself. The Bog Trail was very muddy when I went (due to the recent storms) but that didn't discourage or upset me. It was all part of the hiking experience! All around decent hike!
