This loop at Deer Creek Hills highlights Blue Oak Woodland & Pond Birding at Deer Creek Hills. This trail is only open to the public on fourth Saturdays, March-May, on a docent-supervised, check-in/check-out basis from 9:00am to 1:00 pm. The Sacramento Valley Conservancy owns the preserve in partnership with the County of Sacramento, the California Department of Fish and Game and the California Department of Parks and Recreation, and access to the preserve is only with the explicit permission of the Sacramento Valley Conservancy. If there is no SVC docent to check you in, you will be considered to be trespassing.
