Beautiful, easy to follow trail. Walked 2 miles down the road to get to the trail since the parking lots at the beach were closed but the trail was still very manageable. Get there early since it can be extremely crowded.

Beautiful trail, took us an hour and fifteen minutes to complete, lots of shade and gorgeous views we got there at 8am and paid the $10 to park right at the trail head.

Gorgeous once you’re on the trail. Park is busy so you have to get there before 10 to get a parking spot. If no parking, walk 1.2 miles from top to trailhead.

Great coverage with partial sun making it slow on the way out. Left the trail head at 8:20 and was back in Tahoma by 1:30 met 10 people

The lighthouse looks like an outhouse but the trail is great. Easy walking, great view of the lake. Easy to follow if you start at Rubicon trail and walk to the lighthouse trail intersection. Lighthouse is not at the top of the ridge as one may expect, it is partway down from the top.

Great, short, super scenic hike! As described. Fun with kids as it has a few short challenging uphills and the novelty of the ancient lighthouse and bears! Beautiful lake views! Parking is a little tricky and costs $10.

Fun, short hike. The history of the light house is cool (its the highest elevation lighthouse in the world) and the views of the lake are awesome. You can continue on further onto the Rubicon if you choose. D.L. Bliss is a great place to visit on the lake with lots to do. Parking can be scarce (small lots) so get there early or in the afternoon. I was camping in the campgrounds which was super convenient with a couple days of stuff to do.

I found this to be a beautiful hike to lighthouse. I also hiked part of the Rubicon trail which was well worth it. The views are spectacular. I parked at the entrance and walked the paved road to the trail which is about a mile, it is also a good hike for the kiddies.

My kindergartener and 2nd grader powered through without much problem. The views of Tahoe alone are worth this hike. The scenery and footing changes a few times so you will not be bored. Someone in an earlier review likened the lighthouse to and outhouse and I agree! The history is pretty cool though and the idea of someone doing all that work to include doing huge granite steps that far off a main road a century ago is pretty amazing.

Amazing! Great view to lake and mountain as you go. The beach at the end is like a hidden gem! The lighthouse is tiny which we almost missed it. The trail actually starts inside of the camp site so that’s a little confusing but overall easy to follow.

Such a gorgeous hike along the lake! There was no snow on the trail and it was in the 60’s. Will definitely be back to do the full Rubicon trail next time.

best to drop 1 car at viking Holm, and drive another car to bliss state park, lester beach and start from there. then you only go one way. or have some one pick you up by boat.
