Either direction you run this route, you are going to have a great time. Rough-Go is steeper going up than Canyon and more technical/single track trail. I would recommend coming down Spring Creek Trail as an alternative - that trail is very shaded and not as rocky as Rough-Go if you are looking for a smoother descent. Parking on the road at Parkridge Dr. is easy and plentiful, definitely the best way to access Annadel from the Santa Rosa side. The other access point is to park at Stonehedge Dr. just north of Parktrail Dr. Enjoy!

Free parking on the road outside with a path leading directly to the trail head. We did rough go to the lake and took spring creek trail back for a nice loop. Great hike! Recommend hiking shoes. Would rate as moderate.

Great hike.

Probably hiked this trail 9 months ago. Wasn't so bad as I had anticipated for an occasional hiker. The trail does need some TLC from the park rangers. I will definitely hike this trail again

My favorite place to go for a quick hike in Santa Rosa. Keep an eye out for stone couch at the top, you definitely don't want to miss that!
