This is a paved road encircling the Rose Bowl ‘ a golf course. There is very little shade but the entire loop was flat & the area is clean. This loop is very popular with runners, walkers, & cyclists. There is a clean restroom with water fountains along the southeastern side of the loop as well.

Great walking loop. A little over 3 miles... great for nice summer evening in Pasadena.

A loop that goes around the Rose Bowl but mostly the golf course next to it. Best for jogging. The golf course is pretty ..but your looking at it through a chain link fence. It also took me a minute to realize that there is a dirt path on the other side of the street at the bottom of the foothill that is a little funner to hike on than the paved path that most people use.

Did a couple loops running here and it was great! Partly shaded in places at different times of day. Ample parking.

Nice 3 mile loop. Good workout! Can add miles if u add hahamonga wash to the loop. I started at hahamonga watershed park & walk through tunnel around golf course & rosebowl loop & back up. About 6 miles.

This was very enjoyable to do even at 4:30 in the afternoon because most of the trail was shaded, especially if you park near the Lunar Dome and take the trail counterclockwise.

This was a fun loop trail. We got through about half of it with a four year old on foot. Looking forward to getting back out again on my own to nail down a time.

First time here and would definitely come back! The trail while heavily trafficked had enough room for runners bikers and walkers. Got there about 8am on a Saturday and some concert was setting up. Was able to run the trail before getting kicked out for the festivities. Definitely coming back!

I took my eleven year old son on this bike loop. If you want to go kid slow or faster this is for you. Allot of the loop is shaded by old oak trees. It has plenty of parking. The first half has a slight incline (almost unnoticeable) the second half you get to do some coasting. My son liked that part. Path is plenty wide for walkers, runners and cyclists.

This is a nicely paved road suitable for biking, jogging and walking. Partially shaded, with restroom facilities not too far off the track. Check the calendar and watch out for the Flea Market. That won't preclude the use of the loop but it does make parking different - not impossible - just different. Unfortunately, there seem to be quite a few rude and selfish pedestrians (jogging and/or walking) that seem to think that cyclists are not welcome on the loop. Funny because the loop started out as a cycling venue. Let's all share the road!

Near the end of the parking lot, once you pass under the bridge (I was going the wrong way I guess, I went clockwise), there’s a little dirt path that beers downhill. Take that to see some nice scenery, there’s a creek, and lush grass, takes you under the freeway underpass. Everyone is friendly, and it was not very busy. Enjoyable and perfect weather. Going down the path gives you speckled shade. Will definitely do this again.

Great place to run. Very wide running space so it's easy for people to pass. Regular bathrooms (NOT portable ones!!!) are a huge plus. Tons of parking. The loop has a 1.5 mile incline. For me, running counter-clockwise is way easier than clockwise.

This is a great trail to start walking if one is a novice walker/hiker. Very easy yet enough room to walk. Very safe environment. A good treat after your walk is a fruit cup from Jose's fruit stand on the south end of the trail.

So much better than pavement. Smell the trees, hear the birds, feel the soft dirt under your feet.

it is a great walk or for jogging. always friendly faces.

You can either walk the entire perimeter on pavement or you can access the trail running sections that run the length of each side of the loop . One entrance is across from the parking lot for the golf course, you will see stone steps leading up to the street on the other side, and directly to the left of those stairs are the dirt steps up to the trail. You will have to jump on the pavement for a bit until you get over to the other side. From there look behind where the cars park in the dirt and you can pick up the trail again. It's nothing to write home about but I find it more pleasant and less boring than the pavement loop .

Great for walks but you can also run and bike. In between the golf courses appears to be a trail. Walked part of it which adds to the miles completed from 3.1 to 3.4.

A nice walk for a bright sunny day. I didn't realize until about half way through that I was walking in the wrong direction..oops. I guess pedestrians are supposed to walk the paved walkway in a counter-clockwise direction. That being said, it was a nice way to spend an hour.

Paved loop around rose bowl. Perfect for walk or run with stroller.

Good for a nice, easy run. Occasionally a few people. More people tend to use the paved Rose Bowl Loop. Watch out for the crowds on the second Sunday of the month for the Flea Market. It makes parking a nightmare!

I've been running the Rose Bowl Loop for years and find that it is excellent for those days when you just want to take it easy and pace. Its relatively flat and requires no specific skills. I would rank this loop as extremely easy to easy. A paced, no worries run can be completed in 40 -45 minutes. Great for those days when you missed your real training. A good warm up for the gym afterwards.
