The coastal Trail follow the bluffs above the Pacific Ocean. Great views for sunsets, remember a camera for this picturesque hike. Take the Coastal trail to the Miwok trail for unbelievable views of the Pacific Ocean and Rodeo Beach. Although steep, this hike is worth the effort.

Spectacular views first half. Trail signs confusing. Need to follow Miwok trail at highest point. Need to read front and back of signposts as relevant trail information is only on one side

Came on a Sunday from Sacramento. Very busy on the trails and the beach. Lots of separating points where you can escape most of the crowds. Good views of the coastline. Stopped numerous times for pictures. Good day overall.

The hike was amazing! If you want to take a chance for better views though it’d be wiser to go in the afternoon as it’s very foggy until a bit past noon. Otherwise, it’s a quick misty hike full of green and nice plant smells

Can be crowded. Pretty walk to the beach though!

Great hike! We accidentally did it backwards but loved the long slow climb up and ending with the beach views! Thoroughly enjoyed birds, bees, and flowers. Can't wait to go back on a sunny day! No cell reception once we arrived (Verizon) but found everything well marked and we were easily able to find our way around.

Great hike. Wear layers. Watch out for snakes ... and bumblebees!

It was a bit overcast when we hiked this trail in the morning. But the views were great! Be wary of poison oak along the Lagoon Trail.

Four stars for the view, it was a beautiful clear blue sky. The trail is not that well marked, it’s easy to get off in the wrong direction from one of the many (unmarked) side trails. Not there end of the world but could be improved. Easy parking on a Friday, and the Marine Mammal Center is nearby— great visit!

The trail was easy and very good. The views were not so visible because of the weather conditions. Cellphone signals works in some parts. Overall a great family hike. 5 miles was done in ~ 2 hours.

Decent hike if you live in the city and don’t want to drive too far. The view is stunning but there are much better coastal hikes in the area. Some of the trail is paved road. There are a lot of connecting trails and very few signs so the loop is hard to follow.

Great hike! Who needs a stair master when you have this place in your back yard. Coming from CO this still gave me a great work out that was still quick!

Good choice for a sunny day! We didn’t tackle the hill in the end, just took the trails along the cliffs. This can be a combined surf and hike when the conditions at Rodeo beach are good.
