Nice hike, I started at Halcon & Rocky Canyon Rd. It was 5.8 mile round trip. 1ST .8 of mile on road with BIG trucks, then next .5 through working rock quarry, finally trail goes up the canyon. Trail is marked with signs but pay attention or you can miss them!

Rocky Canyon is a short but steep out and back trail that begins in a working quarry, and it's primarily used by mountain bikers and hikers. Parts of the trail are technical with steep inclines and chunky rocks. It's a fun workout for someone looking for a quick ride, or it can be extended to a lengthy ride by taking the trail on through to the small town of Creston. The views are pretty, and interesting wildlife such as bobcats and roadrunners have been seen on the trail.
