Very nice trail, easy for all levels. Very relaxing landscape
Pleasant trail, a bit narrow so when mountain bikes came (several) we hugged the side of the trail. We hiked to the ponds but the small one was totally dry and the larger was quite small. Would like to come back after some substantial rain. There are some well-placed picnic tables at the top, near the pond with some inspiring views of the valley.
Great hike. I like how you can make it as short or as long as you want.
I would recommend this trail for anyone. It is very easy but may be a little long for some. I am originally from Kentucky so this was my introduction to Northern California hiking. The trail was well groomed and had nice views throughout the trail. Be aware of mountain bikers. We share the trails with them. Definitely a nice little trek.
I wound through a bunch of off-shoots, would definitely recommend this trail to anyone looking to explore the whole regional park area. It's a great chance to walk the perimeter of the park, without TOO much crazy uphill or downhill action (although some steep spots). I went out early in the morning and only passed a handful of hikers. Around 8am the mountain bikers start coming out so be aware & ready to hop off the trail to let them pass. I wouldn't recommend this to people who are just getting started in hiking, but it's a good introduction to the park for anyone comfortable with pushing through some miles but not looking to really exert themselves.
