This is a nice, minimal-effort trail. It's short and flat. You wind your way through some nice redwoods. I came here on Thanksgiving, when it was raining a bit, and I only saw one other group of people in the area (on a different trail) so I had this one all to myself. Definitely best when done in conjunction with other trails, but it could also be a solo trail for the whole family.

Wondeful woods! Easy hike, and well marked

Excellent, easy walk among the Redwoods. Good exploration hike among the big giants, it’s a short introductory walk. Parking at trailhead is limited.

Beautiful, short trail with some stunning trees.
Started trail from Women’s Foundation Grove across the Eel River. Parked and crossed a foot bridge. Although path is dotted on the map, meet up with Roosevelt Grove Loop isn’t well marked - there are three piles of rocks leading into the trees. If you miss it and keep walking, you will come to a second and smaller foot bridge. There is another entrance to the Roosevelt Grove Loop here on the right.

Beautiful, except people use it as their personal toilet

An easy walk around an old growth. Parking is pretty limited but understandable for a very short trail.

Niiiice loop. Had to do it twice. You can cross a creek on the back side of the loop and hook up with the awesome Bull Creek Trail which will take u through some outstanding, more remote groves and u can cross the bridge on the Eel River about 5 miles down and be at the Humboldt State Park Visitor center.

Absolutely beautiful redwood grove! A little harder to locate than others on Ave of the Giants. Grove initially preserved from a donation from John D Rockefeller. Gorgeous big redwoods, huge fallen ones you can climb onto to get a sense of scale. Some had fallen very recently this winter. Access to the river was nice, although the river bridge is out. Connects to longer trails if you're in the mood

This is the finest trail on earth. The Rockefeller Loop Trail contains the largest ancient old growth redwoods anywhere. You will pass one enormous redwood after another. The ground cover is lovely ferns, and halfway around you will meet Bull Creek. Walk down to the creek and take a look around. Nowhere is more beautiful.

Absolutely astonishing

Some crummy patches of road on the way in - but worth it. Nice easy stroll thru some giants. Less popular than the Founders grove- so less trafficked . So quiet your ears ring. A few feet off the trail is a path to the creek below. Worth checking out for some lovely creek side tree viewing .

More of a stroll than a hike, but what a magical stroll! Such majesty makes a girl feel small.

Just a simple loop at the start/end of the bull creek trail loop. Has the oldest redwoods in the park so definitely worth a nice lil stroll around.
