Great hike! Beautiful scenery, especially on the way back up!!It feels like I was hiking around the hill. There is some sun but most of the trail is shady. First mile is straight up which is hard but it flattens out and descends which is okay. At the bottom is a small area to hang out/picnic/community garden. There is also a barn which has sheeps and goats which are fun to see. Trail is not marked well!! Can be cold during the winter at the top! Small parking lot of about 10 cars total. I found a spot on a non holiday weekend Sunday at around 1130am, otherwise find parking in the neighborhood.

Great hike. Initial hike is a bit steep, but it levels out after the first mile.

Beautiful trail! Signs aren’t very clear, so definitely check Google maps or AllTrails at intersections.

Also note: the parking lot is small and was full, so we ended up parking a mile away. As a result we had to cut the loop short because we were running out of daylight, but it was still great.

Trail head easy to find - start of the hike goes up and up - backside of the hike was really nice fall hike - i would come back again

Nice one. If you plan on doing the loop, all of it, it is very diverse. Tight paths, steep ones, flowers, waterfalls...
Medium hard...but relaxing.
Get your maps or apps because the signs along the way are pathetic.

Beautiful trail. Nice wildflowers. Didn't see mountain lion.

The 1st mile is straight up which was challenging. Then you get to a lovely meadow and have a lot of options. There are lovely wildflowers, and I didn't see any wildlife but there were signs posted about recent mountain lion sightings that advise people not to hike alone. It was nice and shady, and good for a hot day. I'll definitely go again.

Small parking lot, with overflow parking about 0.4 mi away at Foothill college. The initial 0.9 miles is a steep incline. When you turn off towards Hidden Villa after 0.4 miles, you make your way down again to the creek. With all of the rain right now, it is a very relaxing trail along the creek, until you head up Ewing Hill, and then make your way back. When it is hot outside, portions are under direct sun and can be pretty hot.
