Good trail. Has just about everything. It’s steep as you begin for 1 mile on Rhus Ridge upto Mary Davey Memorial, then a descent into the San Antonio Preserve via Chamise Trail. This will lead you to Deer Hollow Farm. There are water taps near the farm. The climb on your way back will be gentler, spread over 2.5 miles or so. Some parts of the trail are shaded, but not all. Great views at the top, on a clear day/evening.
