No shade loop around the residential and industrial area of Redwood Shores. Parts of walk are on Bay Trail and other parts on streets. Saw some birds, including a blue heron. Would be a good bike ride, if walking bring plenty of water.

Took my son with his new mountain bike On this Bayside Trail. It’s beautiful and we saw Jack rabbits, all types of birds, Chipmunks, etc. There are quite a few dirt parts that require tires that can handle A bit more than road bikes

Not as nice as the Foster City section of the SF Bay Trail and not as well trafficked either. There are more birds and marshland along this trail though. I was able to bike the entire loop even though road biking is not listed as an option. The path along Steinberger Slough is gravel, so make sure your tires can handle a little abuse. Once you reach the Marriot you can't go south anymore as unfortunately San Carlos airport blocks the way. You have to take Twin Dolphin Dr. to get back to the Oracle Complex and this stretch of the "trail" is pretty boring. You'll pass Redwood Shores Lagoon, which hosts occasional rowing competitions before arriving back at Oracle and the end of the loop.

Terrible walk; great if you like to stare at a corporate park for half the trail
