Giant redwoods and ferns cover the trail. Very quiet and not easy to reach. Great half day trip

Great trail. The trees are amazing. Not crowded at all this time of year. The way there is easy and the way back is about moderate. Lots of loose rocks and gravel so watch your step. Listening to the creek is super relaxing. We ate lunch at the creek and chilled for a bit before heading back. Just an FYI the road to the trailhead is a dirt road. Kind of bumpy but accessible for all vehicles. It was pretty chilly in the morning but warmed up at the end. Layer up and you’ll be good. Most of the trail is shady.

Trail from Kings canyon to Eshom campsite. Way faster. Along the path of Redwood Canyon Trail. Right before you reach Redwood Canyon Trail, take the path in the right. Dirt road. Which is road FOREST RTE 14S75. It is faster than going around to take main road. It is dirt. Bumps and better if you have awd or 4x4 for safety.

This trail is one of my favorites. I started out on the Sugarbowl trail and continued on to the Hart tree trail. The hike was aproximately 10 miles and took about 7 hours with a half hour lunch. The weather started out with a little breeze and a little cloudy and soon turned cold with a little bit of snow for lunch. Besides, the changing of the weather there was lots of beautiful trees and mountains to see. I highly recommend this trail to anyone who wants to spend the day in the beautiful outdoors.
