This hike takes you to a geographical scouting spot with old equipment still on top of the summit. No real trail exists until you get to the saddle. You can blaze up the side of the false peak.

Been here twice, just off the 395 in The town of Red Mt. Good hike and you have to blaze yer own trail to the summit. It's a 5K summit and you'll know you got there because of the old survey equipment on top. Great views of the desert and you can see toward Death Valley, Sierra's, and Angeles Natl Forest.
