This is more of a walk on blacktop through a neighborhood park than buy it's a very good walk though a neighborhood park. The path is winding with rolling hills and a fewer steeper area. The views are nice and there are a couple of picnic tables along the way. There are turn offs which wind though other paths and I checked out a couple. This is a high traffic trail so don't expect much solitude. I saw quite a few bikers, dogs running around etc. I'm rehabbing my knee post surgery and this was really perfect for that. nothing challenging or technical, I did 6 miles with easy hills. Very enjoyable and I plan to hit this 1-2x a week during this rehab period. the air up here is great.
Very good trail, paved surface almost all the way. Beautiful views; a little steeper grades than we expected. Started and ended at Steed Memorial Park.
This trail IS open. You have to look to entry on right side of gate. Paved trail, some ups and downs but not difficult. Nice views, lots of scrub brush, no big trees, but watch out for fast bikes and coyotes. Didn’t see any snakes but heard they are around....and might see a mountain lion.
Very nice hike! Enjoyed the beautiful views with my dog. Watch out for rattlesnakes!! Came across one hanging out on the paved walkway.
Great paved trail and definitely underutilized...not many people out on a weekday early evening. Would say that it is easy-moderate due to the inclines and walking on mostly paved terrain, which is a bit higher impact on the feet and knees. Nice push at the end up the hill and gorgeous views from the top and many nice vistas along the way. The round trip is more like 7.5 miles, very nice walk for sure!
Great hike, nice few shaded areas. Wonderful view at the end! Few hills to push you, few bikers out as well. Great dog friendly as well with stations.
6 miles out and back, 800 feet elevation. Great view. We went early to catch the sunrise. We are welcomed by a nice sea of clouds.
Enjoyable but there are a lot of hills, so I wouldn’t say too “kid friendly” beautiful views and a nice breeze. Great for biking.
