Just did a one night backpacking trip here. There’s a long dirt road you drive or walk to get to the trailhead. For the first two miles you’re up high in the canyon, with a good amount of shade earlier/later in the day. Then you drop down to the river. Parts were still trickling, with plenty of stagnant pools of water along the way. After four and a half miles in, we completely lost the trail. There were at least six river crossings up until that point, most of which were marked with cairns. Despite following a cairn at that halfway point, the trail was impossible to find. Everything was very overgrown. Needs a lot of maintenance. After searching for the trail for about an hour, we turned around and spent the night at a campsite about three miles in, which was lovely. Only saw one other hiker. Prepare for a lot of mud and bugs when you’re near the river.

Just spent two nights in different parts of this trail and didn't see or hear another soul. Trail can be difficult to follow only because of the numerous water crossings. You will have wet feet through the entire trail so make note! Also on our way out, a huge tree fell and blocked the entire path and we had to climb way up the hill to get around it. Trail has beautiful sights and the creek is just great. Weather was great in late March - chilly at nights and moderate/warm in the day.

Very pretty! Not a very difficult hike -pretty flat. Road to the trailhead was closed so we parked and walked about a mile and a half to the trailhead. Has a couple trail signs along the way.

Hiked from the road to camp/trailhead due to the road to camp being closed from all of the water. Which made this a 14.8 mile round trip. Beautiful day with amazing clouds. Beautiful scenery. Cool rock formations. Lots of water this time of year. 33 water crossings! Two great friends and I. Didn’t see another soul all day!
