This trail has a wonderful view of the reservoir but its had to find. The map tells you to take Bouquet Cyn to Martindale Ridge road but you need to take Artisan Springs rd ( a steep dirt rd} for 1/2 a mile to reach Martindale ridge rd which is closed down. You have to cross the road block and walk 2 miles to get to R & H trail but the views are great and it worth it.

Did this trail from top down as an alternate loop route after hiking up PCT:Bouquet Canyon. There is some evidence of maintenance, but is also a bit overgrown and washed out in spots. Lotsa bugs, Lotsa wildflowers. Very windy at the top before heading down this trail. Butterflies everywhere. The remains of an an old car were visible along a portion of the trek, but that was only after traveling too far toward Martindale Ridge Road at one point - then circling back during the search for the easy-to-miss connecting junction that joins back up to the PCT about .9 from the bottom.
