Quarry Trail to Lower Big Springs Trail Loop is a 2.6 mile loop trail located near Berkeley, California that features beautiful wild flowers. The trail is rated as moderate and offers a number of activity options. Dogs are also able to use this trail.

May 25, 2020Very few people on the trail on Memorial Day. Hot but the shady spots provided great relief. Awesome views as usual. Lots of foxtails so beware if you have a dog with you.

First to ReviewThis is one of my most frequented trails because it's so close to my house. It's a fairly easy hike with pretty scenery but not too much in terms of Bay views. I hike it often with my dog, and dogs are frequently seen on the trail. A word of warning: there are many off-leash dogs and not all of them will ignore your on-leash dogs.There is a trash can and bathrooms at the beginning of the trail and a trash can at midpoint (so there's no excuse for not picking up after your dog!)
