The river crossing is a few feet deep. You can scramble across the rocks but slipping off means you'll at least get a shoe or both soaked. I started at the visitors center and the path between the two loops is a steep uphill climb on the way out to the quarry loop.

Not unbearable, but stretches on the initial loop were fairly muddy.

Pretty hard hike especially in the heat. Probably a piece of cake in the winter though. Bring a hat and sunscreen and food and a lot of water there’s a nice little shaded area by the river to relax but there isn’t much shade . This is an old military training ground there are possible explosives out in the brush, stay on the trail and you’ll be all good. Take a stop to the visitor center and cool down and use the bathroom. There’s art and a mini museum In there , it’s dope!!
