Putah Creek is a 1.3 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Winters, California that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for walking, birding, and fly fishing and is accessible year-round.
Hiked this on a 100 degree day with Rosco. A couple had just loaded up and said they'd been fishing. They said there are bass and sometimes a stray salmon in the creek. Loved this little hike. The Train passed by a couple times and the surrounding sound of the train made it even better.
just scenic and lot of thingd to see
Pretty riverside area. The "trail" weaves through the campground. If you go across the street there is a slightly more ambitious walk that leads to a fence. The riverfront is beautiful and excellent for birding. Boat rentals available. Peacocks abound!
