The entrance to Puma trail from the end of Orange Grove is completely fenced off. We did not see anyway to crawl or climb over the fence. We went to the start of the Ahwingna Trail from the corner of Orange Grove Ave and 7th Ave. However, the gate is locked and will not opened until 9 am.

The trail is overgrown and poorly marked and it is infested with foxtail. It was amazing. My 13 year old daughter and I did this as part of a 7 mile loop and we feel amazing despite the heat, the pollen and the bugs.

Hidden gem. Plenty of trails to take from easy to hard. Have done several times and will definitely return as the time changes.

This is part of a wonderful set of trails tucked in the eastern part of LA County. I run these trails often, and there is a variety of terrain along the trail, from fire roads to single track. The environment definitely changes as you move from the shaded canyons to the open coastal sage and scrub at the ridge lines. The initial climbs can be a challenge, but once at the top it flattens out and you're treated to an expansive view of Southern California.

Fun hike with great views. Moderate amount of people--It is not the most secluded trail.

This is a good trail accessable from many different areas if you just feel like going for a nice one or two hour hike. It branches off from Schbarum park and goes up the mountain near the top of Azusa Ave. One section goes to Hacienda Blvd and stops. You can also access from Hacienda Hills near 7th Ave. All in all a good hike with alot of wildlife.
