Great trail but a little over grown in some areas. Scenic views but no shade with some very soft trails going up the hill.

Nice views. One trail was closed but we easily found another way. Good to record to keep on track as there are many turn offs. Couple tough and rocky hills. Bring water!

Good trail, it was MLK holiday so there were quite a few people on the trail. Very windy today. It rained 2 day ago, but the trail was in good shape except for one spot. My dog sunk up to his chest and got his face full of mud. Of course, he enjoyed it. I would do this trail again.

It was the perfect hike that was not too challenging, but enough to work up a sweat!

I have found that Forrestal Dr is closed off a lot, if it is you can park along the roadside outside the gate and walk up the road approximately 1/3 mile. You will come to 2 trail heads, you can take either one.

Beautiful views. Hardest loop trail I’ve done thus far. Great workout! Bring lots of water; at least have 4 cups of water on you.

Lots of incline. There’s a very steep, rocky decline in the beginning that makes for a challenging incline at the very end.

Kicked the butt a bit more than expected. Coulda been the heat! Really enjoyable hike with good views of the ocean, and definitely more difficult on the way back to the car.....felt damn good though.

Fairly strenuous hike on the way back up. I wasn't able to reach the ocean from the trail as it ended on private property. I'm not sure if there were other trails that led to the ocean. I saw a large rattlesnake coming back up the trail. There's some nice scenery, wildflowers and sycamore trees, but much of the trail leaves you exposed to the full sun.

Great hike with perfect scenery. The day I went it was cool and clear and could see for miles. The trail was kind of crowded but everyone was so friendly. There were also a lot of mountain bikers on the trail but they seemed pretty experience to deal with a lot of foot traffic and vice versa. I was able to park in the park parking lot but there is a lot of street parking as well. If your new to hiking or haven't hiked in awhile this might not be the hike for you. Coming back up is all uphill and my two buddies who thought this was an easy hike are still very sore after two days doing it.
