Portola Point Trail is a 2 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Morro Bay, California that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, nature trips, birding, and horses and is accessible year-round. Horses are also able to use this trail.
Great trail. Fairly easy & not too steep. Most of the signs say "Quarry trail" but right before you get to the peak it says "Portola". I recommend bug spray (sign warns of ticks) & watching for the poison oak along the trail.
Relatively easy hike with lots of beauty to behold. Totally kid friendly, very easy to maneuver. Use bug spray because this place is crawling with mosquitoes & ticks.
*NOT stroller friendly, in case anyone is looking for that information.*
Great trail to get out around the bay. Good views, better when sunny. Mosquitos are no joke. Repellant is absolutely necessary.
Great easy hike with spectacular views. Only downside was a bunch of mosquitoes pestering us along the way.
Fun trail. Can either be a spur off of Quarry Trail or a hike on its own. Not a strenuous climb and the views of the mountains and Morro Bay are awesome.
I've been on this trail twice and thoroughly enjoyed it both times. Easy for the little ones to keep up. Nice views from the top of the hill.
