This trail is experiencing full or partial closure due to COVID-19. Please see the open trails nearby for alternate hiking options. Almost the northwesternmost trail in Mission Trails. If you start by heading northeast and then do the loop to the left, there is a HUGE INCLINE at the end to get back to the start. Some areas are rocky and several parts are extremely narrow paths. There is only street parking, not a dedicated lot for this trail entry to the park. You can hear SR-52 for most of the trail but only see it for part of the time.

Did this in November so the temperature was great for no shade. Great views of the ocean on a clear day and some great hills for cardio, the rocky trail could be challenging for runners.

Excellent trail.

Great for taking kids! It would also be ideal for a short workout, especially if trail running.

This is a decent hike if you are looking for something that is quick and a good workout. Parking is at the cul-de-sac at the end of the street, then on the right hand side you will see a couple signs gate, walking past this will get you to the trail. I went counter clockwise which was not a bad route. The trail is very rocky which makes it a little harder to walk and be careful to not roll ankles. On the way down it is no too bad and mimics much of the other mission trails slopes. The way back up is a fire road and gets a good burn going. When at the bottom looking up it seems like its going to be hard, but take your time and you will be back where you started in no time. Once at the top again, enjoy the views, there was a couple locals watching the sunset as I was leaving.

Not a bad short loop. Lots of rocks, not so great for running.

Started off on this but ended up taking a longer route. Great views, very well signed, easy parking but no cover to speak of (as are most hikes in this area - so to be expected) and lots of mountain bikers. Watch those corners! All in all a pretty good way to spend a Saturday morning.
