The Placerita Canyon Nature Center Loop strings together the short Botany, Heritage, and Hillside trails to make a short loop around the nature center. Interperative brochures are available at the nature center to identify plants. There are historic sites, such as the old Walker cabin and the Oak of the Golden Dream, where California's first gold rush started in 1842. This loop is kid friendly, and the Heritage Trail portion is paved and wheelchair-friendly.
