Wonderful little hike although there are some washed out sections of the trail. Some trees across trail. I hope the county gives this some repairs causes it’s really a cool short trail

Forgot to turn off the recording so there is a bit of our trip home by car in this recording. Had an adventurous hike. Tons of water throughout. It was a challenging hike because the trail was sometimes on a slope or no trail at all, but it was very manageable. We went beyond the sign that says fall risk, don’t go beyond this point and climbed up to the second waterfall. That was tough but so much fun.

There was one small "trail closed for repairs" sign but nobody seemed to care. We took the smaller short cut trail from the parking area (just south of the main gate) down to the main trail, but be careful there's a line of barbed wire that hangs about an inch off the ground mid way down that trail. I was so happy that we got to the stream so quickly, literally 5 minutes out of the car we were walking along water. A lot of nicely shaded parts. Tons of poison oak! I made it to the first waterfall but stopped there. My son used the rope to scale the rock wall and went up to see a second one. Loved this hike! I cannot believe I have lived 20 minutes from it, for 20 years, and never been before

This was a beautiful trail with a great pine grove at the top. There where also a few waterfalls along the way. There are two 30 foot ones at the top.

The trail is washed out in sections and there's poison oak along many sections of the trail. However, the hike is a beauty with plenty of shade throughout.

Although the trail is closed, there is no one stopping you and there are even hikers on the trail. The trail is washed away at points but if you are okay with wet shoes you can follow the trail till the end. Go shortly after rains so there is flowing water. The trail is beautiful, rocky, shady with overhanging oaks. This trail sparked my interest in hiking

NOT dog friendly. Took my pupper and they had those pesky little needle things that dig into his skin. Also, all the trails are closed. Don't waste your time.

Trail is pretty mangled due to the recent fires. There was no waterfall and very little streams anywhere. There is still a lot of burnt trees and debris. Lots of dirt mixed ash on the ground. Still a great hike. Lots of rocks to climb over which was fun

As advertised, nice, shady, moderate trail. the trail has mostly slight grades except for a few spots where you know you are climbing or descending, beautiful hike this time of year, even though you are close to a main road, this hike makes you forget that you are so close to the city. really the only thing to watch out for are the land mines people let their dogs leave on the trail. for as crowded as it was today the park should of had more maintenance people on duty, only to police up the trash people had left in a few places. the out houses (porta potties) I have to say were amazingly clean and supplied. we only used one of them but we were extremely pleased with it. overall, great day and great hike. being our first time there I did speak to an employee at the wild life center, very polite and helpful, he had a great personality. excellent choice of people to have working on such a crowded day. We will return to hike a different trail next time. very pleased.
