Took my bike, easy up until the the dotted black line stops on the map. Massive boulders made it impossible to bring the bike, but excellent to rock hop! Definitely recommend 4wd in some places due to the deep sand.

This is a pretty straight-forward hike, just before you pass the fence that takes you onto Pinyon mountain road. Be sure to take the alternate (Bike) path that loops southward from Pinyon mountain road if you want to avoid climbing the 30-ft cliff. I camped here overnight and enjoyed the nice weather. Would recommend taking at least 3-L of water, but take more if ya can. Wouldn't call the views breathtaking, but the mountains being absolutely covered in yellow flowers at the end of this winter were nice decor for this barren trail. Other than that, a nice trail if you want to get away from the crowds. Can't wait to see more of this desert.

Great views from the wash of Harper Flats and from the Jeep trail. Some rock scrambling to Jeep. Windy in the canyon but nice trek.

This trail is really fun BUT HARD!! Not moderate. It is long and should go into pinyon canyon, which is beautiful. But if you are taking your truck, must have a lift,4WD and you have to be willing to get a little banged up. Rocks, steep hills and "The squeeze" is the photo is the black jeep. Its fun but be careful!
