Amazing trail around the lake. We decided to start at 6pm and saw some picturesque sunset views. Very unique and totally recommend this trail for anyone looking for a moderate hike around the area.

It was great... I have a 14 year old, 9 and 7 year old... along with the hubs took us about 2.5 hours. Beautiful trail. We went clockwise and had good shade.

It is a fairly easy trail to follow. We started at the Strawberry Trail head and hiked up to the damn and then did the loop. Highly recommend that you start earlier in the day as the far side of the lake is in the sun with little shade.

One of my favorite hikes! I’ve been camping up at Pinecrest for years and this hike never gets old. During the weekends, the trail can get pretty crowded but during the week it’s nice and clear! Bring a lot of water because depending on the time of day you have a bit of direct sun exposure and it can get pretty hot. You can start on either the damn side or the beach front side that has more shade. Wear ankle braces if you have weak ankles or past injuries because the trail can get pretty rocking at some points. Overall, it’s such a great hike and it doesn’t take too much time! You can do half and turn around or do the whole lake. You can also go off to Cleo’s bath if you want a different adventure. Also there are some great rocks to cliff jump from if the water is high enough! Either way you’re guaranteed to have a great time! Enjoy views of the lake for a majority of your walk and a great waterfall too! Stop at the shack and get a soft serve ice cream and sit lakeside when you’re done!!

Nice trail to get away from the crowds. You are close to waterfront properties for a majority of it but it's still nice. Well maintained. Would highly recommend Cleo's Bath if you're an advanced hiker

All of the roads were closed and the road leading to Pinecrest Lake was barricaded with signs saying "no hiking" and "no dog walking". How stupid.

Great hike just like I remembered when I hiked it as a kid 25 years ago :) Recently on a camping trip at Pinecrest my family and I completed the hike . kids had a fun time and for the most part it's an easy hike.

My favourite go-to familiar hike. The views are beautiful, the lake is lovely and the beach is great to relax on when we are done. The trail is not well marked in some spots. We use this several times from Spring to Autumn. Can be quite busy, especially on holidays and weekends.

Great trail, my dog and I enjoyed a steady hike. Was a nice mix of terrain so I agree with the trail being moderate, stabilizers would be helpful as some parts are icy. Not great markings until you get started and see the metal trail markers once you get past the houses from the trailhead
