Pine Mountain is a 6.8 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Fairfax, California that features a waterfall and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, nature trips, and mountain biking. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
February 6, 2021Beautiful views but exposed fire road. Carson falls and beyond is special, will make a loop going to Kent lake next time
January 9, 2021It's a gorgeous hike with lovely views of the hills, the golf course, the bay, and once the fog lifts, the Richmond Bridge. The trail is a good mix of gentle inclines and flat terrain. Since we've recently had rain in the bay area, the Carson falls had a good amount of water gushing down. Enjoyed the cool weather and completed the full loop. Note to fellow hikers, large parts of the trail doesn't have too much shade. It's comfortable in cold/cooler weather, summer will be hot, so please be prepared with water and sunscreen.
