Great trail run to prepare for spartan races. Do a few laps and you are ready for a beast!

Came here for the first time Christmas Eve of 2015 in the wee hours of the morning! It was the first time for me, and I complained along the way (I was just discharged from the hospital), but it was so worth the hike up! Coming back down was much faster!

It is very steep hike, nice surroundings and views. You should be a active physically fit person. Nice air and wind.

Great up hill trails, no map of the trails at the park. Looks great feels great, it’s hard at times going up steep trails.

It's a short, but steep climb. 360° Views from the top are awesome. If you go early enough, it's not very crowded.

Views at the top are spectacular, but it is a climb to get there. Dogs actually aren't allowed on the trail. There is a sign at the trailhead that says no dogs allowed on trails. They are only allowed in the picnic area.

The elevation gain on this is all in the last 6/10ths of a mile essentially. It's a workout.

When parking don't leave anything valuable in sight. I saw two cars with broken glass.

Go early the heat makes the elevation gain even worse.

It's quick-it's close to town it's worth it.

Not a easy one! I would say it is more a difficult/moderate trail. The view at the top is crazy

Great place to train for trail running and hiking. Recommend you check this place out in different seasons. Also, short drive from Fresno.

Awesome place to hike, recommend you do this trail early morning. Be sure to bring lots of water if you hiking around lunch or after lunch. Going up will take a bit depending on how you pace yourself, and coming down is only half the time.. if you have trekking pole, now would be a great time to use them. Road is full of dirt and sand until you start to reach the top. You know your close once you start seeing fields of gold :) Don't let the steep hike scary you for making it to the top.. and be sure to hang out for awhile once your up there.

It's a bit of a workout! Didn't make it to the top. The last trek upwards was a little daunting for us and our pups. However, I'm sure the view would have been amazing...still got some good pics along the way.

It was a nice workout. Didn't make it to the top. Hate to say it. Next time I go I will make sure that it's not like in the 100's or high 90's when I went. Go in the morning when it's still cool unlike me.
