Don’t go late in the summer. The falls were dried up.

Great easy trail but no water during the summer months.

Fall or spring is the time to go. Hardly any water at all and very dry.

Not a difficult hike. The lack of shade together with the heat reflected from the rocks may make it a bit challenging during the summer months. There were an impressive amount of grasshoppers throughout the trail. Instead of going through the private property, take a left turn (at the sign that says "trail") and head to the ravine first. That will make the hike longer and more interesting (not to mention the tree-shaded area). There will be switchbacks if you choose the ravine path; otherwise, you will be on private property for about 0.3 miles. We saw a very interesting horned lizard that looked like a mini dinosaur. Even though there is barely water falling at this time of the year, the landscape is breathtaking.

Anyone know if the falls is still flowing!?

Easy day hike with a lot of interesting geographical features and excellent wildflowers. Nice rolling hills, not too steep of a trail, easy to follow and maintain trail. If you head about 1/4 mile to the left of Phantom Falls there’s a great vantage point of BOTH Phantom Falls (yes, there are two, it’s super awesome). It’s not a 5/5 because: Way over-crowded, too many people not practicing “Leave No Trace” principles, there needs to be more education on the importance of staying on the trail and not disrupting the delicate environment of the wildflowers, and better “pack it in pack it out” practices.... especially with the higher volume of visitors.

A really beautiful spot to walk. The small creek is just beautiful. The falls is cool and mysterious. Lots of people there though. I think it better to go earlier in the spring because it was a bit too hot this late.

Easy hike. My problems with it are there isn't a lot to see and it's super Rocky with almost no shade. My dogs didn't love it at all. The waterfall was more like a drizzle but still worth seeing once. By the way, just looked like cow pastures, not flower fields.

Enjoyable easy hike. It was well marked this year. In years past, it was hard to find. We went this year for the wild flowers and they were amazing

This trail was open and beautiful... wildflowers everywhere. It is pretty heavily trafficked in the afternoon and is already super warm out. The waterfall was pretty, not a whole lot of flow when I went. To get down to the waterfall you have to go down a pretty steep embankment between 2 rock walls... thankfully someone tied a rope to hold on to otherwise the only thing would be the rock wall! Take it easy going down, lots of opportunity to fall. Little shade so the cool mist of waterfall in the breeze made a perfect place to relax before heading back out. Would do again!

The fall was pretty but there was no shade on the walk there. I imagine it's only nice in spring, the fields probably aren't as green and full of flowers in the summer. The hike was okay, relatively easy but it is heavily trafficked, I don't think I'll drive that far go back again.

HARD TO FIND, if you just fallow the path. I did this hike recently. we went down in to the fall summer amazing. very clean. although I do feel like this is private property because you have to go through a fence that looks like someone cut it
