Too crowded even on a weekday afternoon. Too many bikers and people playing loud music while you’re walking, scaring off all wildlife. Not to mention. Due to the fires, only the outside area is open, causing you to hear a ton of traffic while you’re at it. Big nature lover, but between everything, you just feel like you’re waking along a street and there happens to be some nature nearby.

A good portion of the park was burned in the recent fires but they've since opened some of the trails again. Went today and there were several crews surveying the damage and tractors removing dead trees. The hiking is always good here, though. Easy trails good for running.

Keep in mind that Peter's burned in the Canyon Fire 2 and it may be while before the vegetation comes back. For now, it is closed.

Easy trail around a lake. Comes with two inclines that is the only "hard" part. Relatively boring because you're still in the heart of a suburban neighborhood. If you come here at dusk or night, be prepared to get netted in the face by webs.

No shade. Trails are not kept well. There is a lot of dog poop along the trails.

I did this hike recently because I didn't want nothing to tough since I had hiked the previous day. Did a modified version of this loop which included some climbs. It's pretty easy and heavily populated. I'm a purist and don't really like the bluetooth radios on trails and I heard several on this hike. You get a mix of serious hikers, runners, leisurely walkers and mountain bikers. One thing to note is that they don't open the gate until 7am. So if you're an earlier starter like I am, take note!

It's OK. Hiking in the midst of suburbia isn't my cup of tea.

Love this trail! It's a great go to for a quick hike with some good inclines. It can get very crowded on the weekends, so highly recommend to do it early as possible. The trail is good for running as well and dogs. Although during the hotter days in the OC I wouldn't recommend to bring your pets. Some weekends the nature trail is open and it gives you a sense your somewhere else. Parking can get pretty full rather quickly and there is a kiosk to pay for parking. Most weekends it's $3-$5 bucks.

The trail is great. When not in shape these hills will make you shed some pounds. Just recently the trail got fixed by covering holes in the ground and it's great condition now. If you live in Orange County it's a great area to start hiking in.

Beautiful and easy unless you do "The Hill". This incline is tough for beginners and definitely makes you earn the summit.

Second trail using this app. We started this loop going to the right from the parking lot. Neat at first cuz it was like walking in a grassy forest but soon turned into a slog up a long steep incline up a dusty, hoof-pocked wide hill. Wifey was huffing and puffing. A few minutes later we faced a shorter but steeper climb. Trails are dusty. Steep descent along a narrow V-trenched footpath necessitated a penguin walk like walking on a moving bus. A large portion of the final end seems like you're walking on a dusty service road rather than a hike in the great outdoors. Ends up walking along the street which completely breaks the mood. Unlikely to trek here again.

It's a decent trail for the locals of the are. Not worth the 45 minute drive to enjoy it. There is some shade in certain areas but make sure you bring some water on a hot day.

I like how half the trails is easy and mellow and then the other half is all hills. Depending on my mood or energy level, I can pick between the two. Definitely one of my faves.
