Beautiful but very overgrown with poison oak and nettles. Definitely wear long pants, single file, and no kids or dogs.

An easy, enjoyable trail. Parts of the path are overgrown, but I didn’t really mind. Lots of beautiful plant life and birds.

Simple but pleasant. Parts of the trail were over grown other than that it was a peaceful trial with pretty views.

While the views that you gen on the marsh side (North Pond Trail) are nice the trail as a whole is way too close to Hwy 1, which is very busy. Crossing it with smaller kids is not really an option and also you have the road and the cars in front of your eyes all the time. The beach is nice though.

The beach side is gorgeous and the views are incredible. The marsh side while peaceful and quiet is over grown and has a lot of poison oak. Tried the marsh side but went back the beach side.

Keep in mind you will not see the piegeon point light house on this trail. This is simply the nearest hiking trail to the lighthouse. We wanted to do a hike since we came from SF to see the light house so this is where we went. The trail was decent. It was clean, has a cool looking foot bridge, and a nice Vista sitting area overlooking a pond with some hills in the background. However you have to cross the highway twice with no crosswalks and you can see/hear the highway in the background most of the time. Also the part through the beach should be considered optional dependent on weather. Watch out for poison oak which lined about a quarter of the trail

This trail doesn’t go to lighthouse, it’s about 6 miles drive south

The N Pond Trail was completed grown over. I had to turn back 1/3 of the way through - at one point I was going through bushes and there was poison oak everywhere. I did walk along the beach and then back when I realized the N Pond trail was overgrown. The beach was a nice walk. I even saw a few full sand dollars and sea glass.

Nice trail, nice views, not very difficult. The only thing: kinda deserted during the weekdays and, as a girl riding by myself, a little bit scary.
