This hike was more strenuous than expected and a lot of areas were overgrown and super narrow. The hills and valleys we're beautiful but the paths were so loose we slipped multiple times. Definitely a great trail for a workout but not for a leisurely day in nature.

Great hike in the middle of San Diego. The trail isn’t fully obvious the majority of the way but pretty straightforward if you use the app. Flat to start, steep downhill once it gets going. Minor ups and downs in the middle part of the hike leading to the waterfalls. Ends with the short, but steep climb to finish. All in all I’d say it’s easy, if you hike the lot, Moderate if you’re out of shape. Worth the hour spent walking through nature, especially being centrally located in San Diego. I recommend.

Really good trail. Definitely has a few rocky parts throughout so make sure you wear sturdy shoes/boots. They save the major incline for the end of the trail so pace yourself throughout to save some energy for that. Would definitely do again. Great sights and great workout. Not a busy trail which is surprising because it’s a really good.

Overall, pretty moderate trail but can get pretty high in incline towards the end. It’s easy to get off trail because there’s many dif routes. There’s no shade so bring a lot of water! Plus the small waterfall you come across the trail makes it pretty worthwhile.

I was pleasantly surprised with this hike today. There were some pretty level trails but a few steep inclines (based in my standards) The waterfall was a nice little treat. next time I'll pack a light lunch and enjoy it there. I really liked how this was a loop so you didnt see the same place twice.

What a fun hike with some challenging uphill climbs. The view from the top is beautiful and from in the valley even better. The waterfall was quite peaceful. Quite a few snails on some trails. The trailhead is tucked in a neighborhood side street

Definitely recommend this trail. The scenary is worth it!! Would recommend boots and long pants. Boots because some parts get very rocky. And pants because there is a lot of high grass. There’s a nice waterfall and pond area in the middle! Enjoy!!

Took my 9 year old boy here yesterday. He loved it. The drop into the mountain was very technical so I had to be next to him and the climb out was equally as tough, however, the reward of seeing the waterfall was well worth it. If you have trouble with steep descents I would avoid this loop. We both enjoyed our time here more than expected.
