I was really disappointed with this trail! the whole thing is just an OHV road with nothing to see. The dogs and I stopped at the "bridge" (expecting a cool metal bridge but really just the road passing over a small creek) and headed back. Took a couple of the side single track trails that intersected this one, and they were way better! It was hard to go far down them though because I didnt have any cell service. There's also a few trails going into Burton State Park along with a paved trail... all of which would be a LOT better than this one. Ended up walking about 3 miles. There are signs on the street saying to park behind the green gate but I couldn't get my sedan past the rocks at the beginning before the gate because of the low ground clearance. If you can get your car back there though, there's room to park. I would go back to explore Burton State Park more, but not to do this trail again. I wouldn't even call it a trail...

Trail was mostly not passable on skis in early April as the snow has melted

Easy hike. No on street parking but there is plenty of parking just past the Forrest service gate. Wide gravel road with minimal traffic.

Good easy hike up. Lots of colors to see on a fall day. Weekday was nice, not too much traffic.

A beautiful walk in the woods after we left the gravel road area at the very beginning on the hike. Not strenuous at all. Just a little hard to find the beginning but then it was a great little hike. No construction workers today, very quiet and serene.

Good trail. Easy hike. Could have been great if it were not for the construction area. Halfway through trees are being cut and hauled out. Ruins it.

This was a fairly easy quick hike. Great for the little ones.

Visiting Tahoe for a few days and this trail is near our rental house. Parking is just at the end of a residential street, no lot. This trail connects with many others, but to follow the route on this map stick to the right and you'll eventually see some signs marking it as a recreational area. Steady but moderate incline to a bridge over Watson Creek with a bit of a waterfall. Trail kept going and likely connects with other trails, including Tahoe Rim Trail, which seems to go to Watson Lake, but I didn't actually walk it so don't know for sure. We stopped at the bridge and were satisfied with that. On our way back we used the map on the app to do a short detour that brought us through a meadow with a tiny creek (in late June) and back to the main trail. Pleasant trail, no lake view, only see the creek once at the bridge, charming woods like what I've been seeing around North Tahoe. Glad I went.

I've been hiking this trail since I was a kid. It's a beautiful walk through the woods with some small streams. Several points to stop and exercise along the way. Great for all ages, young and old. Right after the snow melts in the spring it's a great spot to see snow flowers popping up out of the ground.
