Very nice trail with awesome views. It’s relatively easy to climb up and down the trails from Cliffside to Beaches along the way. If you are very observant you’ll be able to spot the WWII bunker adjacent to the trail. The bunker has three levels under ground typically three gunner mounts with a bunk room on the bottom level. The bunker is sealed but once you spot it you’ll see they are so hard to find.

I agree with previous reviews that there's no shade, super hot during the day, and very dusty. Prepare for a big climb coming back, but great views! Rattlesnakes abound, however.

In April, the flowers bloom and it’s the most instagramable place. It has a view of the ocean and mountains and it’s beautiful.

A very nice quick trail that is moderately difficult. You can make it as easy or as hard as you like to. However make sure you bring sun screen as there is no shade. Also beware of snakes as they come out on the trail when it is warm or hot.

beautiful views.... bring plenty of water and hat

Great go-to hike in the South Bay. Good conditions, can be quite hot when the sun is out.

Great workout, a bit dusty, and very sunny with a few shade breaks. Be careful, where there's shade, there's usually human excrement and TP.

Narrow trail at times, bordered by dry growth over 6' tall. Saw one shy garter or whipsnake.

Dog friendly trail, but bring lots of water and a bowl for your dog. Watch for burrs. I have a black dog and when the clouds broke, it got a little warm for him, but we were able to find shady spots every 100 yards or so for him to rest when he needed to.

This hike was nice but many paths were closed and we couldn’t go further down because of private property, going uphill was a good workout, however there was no shade so bring hats and sunscreen!

Good workout. Nice wide trail for on-leash dog walking. Parking has become a nightmare. Del Cerro park has become parking by residential permit only. Which I guess means only ultra wealthy homeowners who already have drive ways and garages in the neighborhood near the park can use it to park their guests? I have also noticed that several of the entrance trails to the reserve have been adorned with no trespassing signs by the “right” of the rolling hills equestrian club. Rich people can be possessive of public space with influence over local city councils. The whole area will be restricted before you know it.

Should be 4 stars but a 1/3 of the trail was over grown. Parking really really tough on Memorial Day.
