Fee

Great unique, shaded trail. There is a $9 per person use fee, so I would plan to hike some of the other trails in the area. We skipped those due to 100°+ heat though. Bring lots of water!

This hike was the best. It was an easy hike and the scenery was gorgeous. There was a fee to enter of $9 per adult which this app didnt mention. However the trails were nice and clean and so pretty. I would highly recommend and I'm glad that are still open during these times.

Easy trail with lots to see. If you’re like me and not from the area you’ll be pleasantly surprised with the terrain, views, rock formations, and huge palm trees.

Fairly easy trail. A lot of small children. We took our 2.5 year old and she managed just fine. Pretty views and water running through. The trail was a little crowded on our way back, I would recommend going early to avoid the crowds.

Well worth the cost. We took the Palm Canyon Trail out and the Victor Trail back. This gave us the best of both worlds - the palm trees and river walk and the mountain vistas on the way back

There is a toll booth getting to the canyon charging $ 9.00 fee PER PERSON so we turned around since we had 4 adults in the car

Great scenic trail - well maintained and an easy hike/walk. I would not agree with the light traffic description / this place was very busy and parking was a bit of a nightmare. Park in the lower lot to avoid the congestion. Was definitely a beautiful spot !

I normally hate paying a fee to enter an area to hike but in this case its worth the $9 a person. Its a very unique area to see and it was a easy hike/walk. We continued on to the Victor loop verses back tracking and it was well worth it for the views! Very litter shade on the loop so make sure its a nice day!

A ranger mentioned that you can take this hike and connect with Victor trail and make a loop back. Such a beautiful hike and I’m so glad I did it. It first goes straight down the hill into a lush oasis with a creek running throughout it. It’s probably a river later in the winter. The ground is made of soft sand and there are large boulders everywhere. The palms are tall and grandiose and their thick dry leaves are everywhere, but the trail is really clear. If you take the connecting trail it adds a mile and goes up and follows the ridge all the way around. Amazing views of the oasis and Palm Springs. Don’t miss it and it’s worth the $9

I loved this trail and esp when it switches to the Victor Trail at the end of the Palm Canyon Trail. The Victor Trail winds up into the hills with the most amazing vistas of the canyons. This hike is not to be missed!!

Kind of a rushed visit but it was great! Worth the entrance fee to see this beautiful land. Took a side hike up a trail to get a higher view and promise of spring wildflowers and was not disappointed. Glad I wore boots, the trail down into the canyon was a bit steep. Will head back and explore more trails in this area

Beautiful trail. Includes flat land, rocks, the creek, ultimately the oasis and breathtaking views. Not crowded for a Saturday morning :) take your time, take water, sunscreen, hats, sunglasses and a little snack to have at the oasis. We started from the visitors center, walked up to the oasis and coming back, took the alternate route. The alternate route is more rocky with some inclines. Overall took about 2.5 hours for the total distance of 8k.

Great hike along side stream and babbling water cascading down the hillside. If you link up with Victor trail it becomes 3.6 mile hike of moderate difficulty.

$9 per person admission. Porto potty’s pretty bad for that price. Other than that the place is beautiful. It is worth the price of admission.

A surprise hike. Palms and ridges. About 4 miles with the Victor Trail loop. We loved it. Saw two mountain sheep.

This trail is fantastic. Beautiful majestic mountains surrounding groves of palm trees that create the sensation of being on the set of a Jurassic Park movie. The trail down to the grove has a moderate slope but is doable even with some physical limitations. Reccomend going during the fall or winter as it can get extremely hot during the summer. There is a cost to enter the park, but it is half price in the summer if you are ok with 100 plus temp. Some birds and plenty of lizards came to visit as well.

The weather was perfect in Palm Springs. Not too hot and cloudy, so off we went for a 3.1 mile hike to Palm Canyon and Victor Canyon. It was amazing. Palm Canyon is a beautiful easy hike through a mile of Palm Trees that follow a small creek which at times I am sure is a river. We hiked on Easter Sunday and saw beautiful spring flower blooms. Once we reached a mile, we read the signs and decided to take the 2 mile hike back to the Trading Post via Victor Trail. It gave us beautiful views of rock and cactus formations, mountains and city views of Palm Springs. I highly recommend hiking the addition 2 miles instead of back tracking on the same trail you hiked in on. Bring at least 2 liters of water, good hiking shoes, sun block and snacks. Keep an eye out for rattle snakes. We saw one snake on the trail. Lastly, when you complete your hike, stop at the trading post and have something cool to drink or a popsicle. Enjoy!

Nice, easy trail. Mostly walking through a sandy wash after you pass the oasis. Oasis was cool, it was neat to hear and see all the activity (birds, frogs, lizards) and have the shade and water there in the hot desert. It is $9 per person to get in, we arrived at 8:30am and there weren't too many people there. By the time we left at 11:30am, the parking lot was full and there was a line of about 10 cars waiting in line to get in. There are quite a few porta-potties on site, with sanitizer and TP, which was nice. The Trading Post sells just about anything you might need. We came back on the Victor trail and it was HOT even in early Feb. Like another reviewer stated, next time we will do it in reverse so we can enjoy the shade at the end of the trail instead of the beginning. We will come back here to explore some more for sure.
