Nice beginning but for the last mile the trail is not maintained at all :-(

I really enjoyed this trail. Tons of wildlife, flowers and birds. The terrain and altitude gain isn't difficult but the trail isn't maintained. It's a good idea to know where you are going. I'd recommend wearing long pants and long sleeves shirt. There are a lot of stinging nettles, brambles and poison oak. I expected to see a view point at the end of the trail but it seems to end in a meadow (which is quite nice!). I did see a few spots where one could go off trail and possibly see some great views. All in all, I had a great, muddy hike and was able to take some nice photos.
