HikingGreat!

I would recommend going with others for this one! I went solo, but after seeing a snake trail and having a few close calls with mountain bikers, I decided my solo hike will next time be with a friend or two! Otherwise it was BEAUTIFUL and I do recommend going, just with a buddy and be prepared to move out of the way for bikers on the narrow Owl Trail

Hiking

This was a nice hike with the kids. Lots of shade at a few points. We ended up going up a steeper trail than the route shows, which appears to still be Owl Trail, and that bit wasn't necessarily suitable for young kids, but at least I got a nice workout with my four year old on my shoulders. They liked to run up and down the trails for the rest of the hike. Would come again.

A lot of different routes. Started at the wrong entrance but did eventually end up at the Owl Trail.

Hiking

Great hike with gorgeous views of the San Gabriel mountains! Arrived right before 10 am and parked on the street not far from the trailhead. Lots of little trails and paths and we extended the hike to go to the Ultimate Destination viewpoint which made it just under 3 miles for the entire loop. Would do again!

A nice easy hike. Fairly steep in some spots early on to get your heart rate going. Can also split the trail in some spots to make the trail longer or shorter, depending on what you want. Very pleasant trail!

Nice easy trail with sections of shade and many other off trails to extend your hike if you wish. Encountered a baby rattler so be on the lookout.

WalkingGreat!

This trail was great. I went at 6:45AM. There wasn’t much people until 7:30AM when I started headed down. Everyone was polite and wore their masks. The trail was challenging and fun. There were different routes to take. Scenery was great and relaxing. I brought my dog who had a great time. He is a 18lb pug who is moderately active and loves jogs. It was the right amount exercise for him. There are some fire ants around so I would advise some booties.

HikingGreat!

Started the hike at 0630. You can park on the narrow street (even though it kind of blocks the road) or you can park right at the trail head near the sign that says "No parking dusk till dawn". Not much incline, had good sunrise views. Didn't see many people, but the ones I did see weren't wearing masks..

Hiking

I would start on the left side, we started in the right and we’re going against traffic the whole time. We went at 8:30am and by 9am it was already to hot. I would go earlier next time. My dog looked miserable. Roads are very narrow, bring a mask. Lots of mountain bikers so keep your ears open. We got lost twice and I had the map downloaded on my pro account. Just keep checking it as there are a lot of paths and it’s very easy to go the wrong way. Very easy parking. Overall good workout hike but little shade.

Nice hike with/for kids but beware of the poison ivy a quarter way in. No shade on second half of hike, but still fun for the kiddos
