This was a really fun hike. If you have not been to Ontario Peak, you should. The hike is beautiful and the views from the Peak rival those from Cucamonga. Bighorn Peak is OK, and is only approachable via a trail that is no longer maintained. It is very easy to lose the trail and the summit approach will test you. Coming back, use the Chapman trail which is really a blast to hike. You get rock trails, scree trails, woodsy trails, pine needle trails, acorn trails and so on. The trail hugs the mountainside all the way down to Cedar Canyon camp site and you lose relatively little elevation. After the camp though, be prepared to descend quickly. However, the switchbacks are laid out really well.
