Really great hike, old highway, thick forrest, open meadows, mountain views, old fire damage on some parts, wildlife, flowers and not a busy trail. I’d do it again.

The road is well a road but no cars and still some good views. The walk through the Ravine and meadow/marsh was definitely worth the trip. Very green with a little water running, crisp air and overall beautiful way to spend a day and not locked in the house. The "trailhead" is pretty easy to find but it is straight down and straight up from the road you hike on.

Beautiful fall foliage this week! Definitely worth checking, pretty easy hike.

Great shady stroll with lots of different terrains and a butt-kicking hike back to your car. A portion of the hike is on a old paved road which was actually kind of nice because as a group we could spread out and chat instead of hiking single file line. Definitely would do it again!

Nice steady climb to begin on the road. Very beautiful and feels isolated. Some great places to take pictures.

Great trail! More off the beaten path than the meadow for sure. I wouldn’t park at the place it shows on the map though because you end up hiking past the first main trail head anyways. I would just start there. The hike up the side of the mountain to get back to your car was ridiculous! Not too many people it was great. Easy hike with my infant.

I almost did not want to post a review because I don't want people to know about this trail. It goes down an old road, but then weaves through the forest and fields. We saw some large mountain lion tracks in the snow which was pretty cool. Along the way there are good views, you can see out to Cuyamaca Peak and Stonewall Peak and beyond. This trail is pretty flat other than the entrance/exit to the trailhead which is more like a steep animal trail than a hiking trail, if you catch my drift.
