Not much of a hike, but we saw a LOT of wildlife. Roadrunner, cotton tail rabbits, jack rabbits, pair of ravens setting up a new nest in one of the tall fan palm trees, what appeared to be several black colored cardinals, which I believe to be phainopepla (?), lizards, several black and white "jay-like" birds and a LOT of smaller birds. All in 0.3 miles.

Short concrete path behind the visitor center. A few odd and interesting features along the path. If short on time, slip this and get to the nicer trails in the park.

This is a very easy going walk.. with bench to rest if needed.. not a wow since most of the palms are dead, probably due to lack of water or wildfire occurred in last years

Nothing to see. Concrete walk near the highway. Unfortunately a fire even burned half the palms.

On the advice of a park volunteer, we stopped here. Attached to the visitor's center, it is just a simple concrete path through the Oasis. Unlike most trails, this one lacks the informational posts about Flora and fauna. Instead you will find some sort of literary arts project on what looks to be informational posts, a bit of a head scratcher if you ask me. I'd skip this in the future.

very short walk, attached to the Joshua Tree visitor center, attached to this trail is a path that leads to the 29 palms art gallery, where there is a sign that says Native American women used to walk that way to the Oasis to gather water, nothing too exciting on that end of the trail and it's not paved like the regular trail.

Nice cemented walk. Flat and easy. Goes by the fan palms. Went on the ranger walk with Cynthia which made it very worthwhile. She explained a lot of that weren't on the signs. Behind the Oasis visitor center so there is running water in the bathrooms!

Very easy nature trail (wide cement walkway) that recounts the history of the area and sadly notes that the water currently supporting the remaining palms in the oasis has to be provided by the Park Service because the spring that once provided water naturally has dried up due to human activity. Follow the story of two doomed lovers as you walk around the loop.

Simple walk on very easy trail. If you don't see wildlife then you must be in a noisy group because there's always something to see along this walk. Make sure you keep all your senses open because you'll usually hear many varieties of birds too.

Lots of wildlife on this easy nature walk. Quail, lizards, rabbits, & squirrel - make sure to go early or late to see the most wildlife.
