HikingGreat!

This is a great trail! Well marked the whole way and the trail maintenance that is done by park employees and volunteers is top notch! It’s a steady ascent basically the whole way up but there are many switch backs and the scenery is great. We saw lots of spring flowers in bloom and beautiful rock formations everywhere. There are 3 creek crossings which are very narrow and easily doable without getting your feet wet. View on top is worth the 2 hour (more or less) climb. The trek back to the vehicle is all down hill and took half that time. Parking is free from the trailhead. Highly recommended!

Nice shady in the beginning. Last half mile not as shady. Beautiful wild flowers and view all the way up. No one on trail. Great vista at peak! Worth the hike!

HikingGreat!

A beautiful hike, lightly trafficked. Some cover, some exposed, single track. Gradual incline to the peak is a relaxed climb. Climb some boulders at the very peak to get the big payoff view - spectacular! The manzanita is in full bloom, the lilac is getting there, everything else is leafing out. A few small creek crossings. 100% springtime conditions. I highly recommend. P.S. I parked in the tiny parking area right at the trailhead, no fee.

Great trail; very clearly marked. Fairly smooth until the final ascent to the top. Incredible views from the summit. Nice steady climb with nothing very steep, but enough to get your heart rate up with a good pace. Arrived quite early and saw very few people on the trail.

RunningGreat!

Really fun trail, starts out with a smooth stroll through a little wooded oak forest, connects to a service road that gradually takes you around upward. Grade is not steep, and is great for people who want some accent with out having to stare at you feet driving up hill all day. Terrain the last 1/2 mile is a little rocky but manageable. NOTE! Very windy up at the top, but the view is great! Beyond my expectations and a nice surprise. Cheers!

This trail is wonderful, it was a little windy and cold, remember dress in layers. I think it’s more like an easy trail instead of moderate.

HikingMuddy

Beautiful scenery, streams to cross. Some muddy/slippery spots due to melting snow. I think it should be rated as moderate. It’s not bad just some rolling inclines. Views are worth it

Easy hike. Hour up, hour down. 6 miles according to my watch. T-shirt and shorts were fine if you kept moving, even in shade. Middle third in afternoon gets shady behind mountain so little colder with a bit of mud and residual snow. Not much thinking, you’re not gonna get lost. 45 min from Downtown, easy after work hike.

2/5/21 amazing hike. It has beautiful 360 views at the peak. The snow was slippery but I didn’t need my micro spikes but you should carry them anyway if there’s ever any snow. It was muddy on the way back down and it was a little slippery. Happy trails! Any questions I’m happy to answer on IG: lulu_and_nature

Very cool little hike. Had some muddy spots due to melting snow but it made the trail a little bit more interesting. Nice hiker emergency cache with a guestbook at the summit.
