Nice hike with spectacular views of Palm Springs. Pack a lunch and eat at the picnic tables 3/4 of the way through.
A nice short hike with great views of Palm Springs.
Nice trail and great view of valley. Be aware homeless men hang out on the trail. Would recommend not hiking alone.
Rocky with great views - sometimes hard to find trail on right side loop.
This a great little trail that can be started at the PS Art Museum or at the end of Ramon Rd. As I have gotten older, my knees prefer a steep ascent and a moderate descent, so I start at the PS Art Museum and end at Ramon Road or start at and return to the Ramon Rd. trail head. Great views of the valley and the beautiful desert plant life. Use desert rules, start early, protect yourself from the sun and carry plenty of water.
I usually start at the end of Ramon Rd. First leg is steep, for about 20 minutes. It evens up once you get through that. Nice walk through the mountain with views to Downtown Palm Springs. You then hit another challenging climb, almost as intense as the first one. Once you pass that and continue on the trail you'll come across benches. From here you can hike down and end up at the PS Museum parking lot, OR you can continue on the same trail heading north descending into the Las Palmas neighborhood (near Alejo Rd behind Koffi). I prefer coming down into Las Palmas as I get to walk all through Palm Canyon and back to Ramon Rd and up to pick up my car.
