Gorgeous views. A nice picnic area and quite a few viewpoints provided by the Preserve. The trail is quite rocky, so make sure to have sturdy shoes and constantly watch your footing. Would probably be even more beautiful after a rain when everything has greened up.

We went in the wintertime, but if it were warmer outside you would need to make sure to bring plenty of water. There are minimal sources of shade, so the sun would be beating down on you the entire hike.

Fun trail a lot of rocks along the way so take shoes you don't care for. Prepare to have enough water, took my 9 year old. Needed more than a 16 oz water for him and took a few breaks. Usually get there about 7 am because of the sun. It's about a good 55 minute hike up at a decent pace and a 30 minute walk down. Make sure you go to the back to see the bigger waterfall at the top. Pretty safe hike friendly people not too many animals and little shade. Parking is mall style wait and follow after 8-9 am but free. Take sunscreen and a snack but overall decent for 6 and plus year olds. Overall beginners hike so it's fun.
