Norco Mountain via Powerline Road is a 2.5 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Norco, California that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and running.
This trail is tricky for access. There’s a section at the bottom that is private property. Don't go that way. Walk through the park and through the little corral. Go left and the trail starts.
Once you found the trailhead it's a pretty easy hike - all paved
good short hike for midweek. didn't see 1 person on the trail. amazing 360° views from the top.
Great views and a fun ride, but you'll need to go around the back of the park at the start of the trail to access it. the main gate in was closed on the day I went.
I ran it twice up and down...this is a really good run...if your pressed on time.
This trail is tricky for access. There’s a 100 yard section at the bottom that is private property. DONT GO THAT WAY. Go in and out through the park. Owner is angry and rightfully so. Stay up along the back of the properties. Footing is a little tough.
Went up the side of a hill rather than the paved trail. Not a fan of paved trails.
Very nice workout. Kicked my butt since had a nice and incline entire way up. Parked by the park and walked to the entrance.on the right side . There is a horse trial near by don’t get them confused. Not crowded at all Only came across one other person. Reminded me of Mount Rubidoux Paved all the way up. Didn’t venture off the trail first time out. Pretty views and rock scapes
It was an easy trail but it was a horse trail and did not seem like it was meant for hiking.
Paved trail, pretty steep. Great hike if you’re looking for a good workout. Recommend going in the morning since there’s no shade.
This is a great conditioning hike; about the first mile is uphill so expect a great glute/hamstring workout. The trail is paved, and leads to a utility building that is fenced off. Up and back with a little side trip to the cell tower took us 55 minutes with 2 dogs. Great view of the Hidden Valley golf course at the top. This is a lot more intense than Pumpkin Rock, but it doesn’t have any other trail options once you get to the top. Watch your dogs, as we saw a pretty beefy coyote at the top.
